Weather & Best Time to Visit in Malaysia

Malaysia has a tropical rainforest climate, meaning it is warm and humid year-round, with temperatures between 25–35°C (77–95°F). There are two monsoon seasons:

East Coast Monsoon (Nov–Feb) – Heavy rains in Perhentian, Redang, and Tioman Islands.
West Coast Monsoon (May–Sep) – Affects Langkawi, Penang, and Pangkor, but less severe.
The best time to visit is March – October when the weather is drier. Highlands like Cameron Highlands and Genting Highlands offer cooler escapes from the heat.
